Taylar Hender


Taylar Hender just finished filming "Deadtime Stories' - 'Grave Secrets' with Diane Ladd which was released in November 2012 on Nickelodeon.  She plays the lead Amanda Peterson in this film.  Taylar also stars as Amy Namey in "Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer".  She played Abigail, the celebrity-crazed member of Bumble Bee Troop 57 in the Disney Channel Original movie "Den Brother".  She also stars in the recently released DVD in 3D  "Jillian's Travels" in which she plays Jillian.

 Born May 4, 1998 in Columbia, South Carolina, Hender began her career at the age of five when she sang Shirley Temple's song "On the Good Ship Lollipop" in front of an audience of 1,000 people at a school talent show.  Although she had butterflies in her stomach, the standing ovation gave her the desire to pursue acting professionally.

 In 2007,Taylar and her family moved to Los Angeles where she booked several national commercials and print campaigns such as Playmate Toys, AT & T, and Claire's Accessories.  Television credits include "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" as herself, the voice of Chloe in "Can You Teach My Alligator Manners and recurring guest star roles on "Special Agent Oso".   She also did a promo with Jay Leno for the Kentucky Derby.

 In Addition to "Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer" Taylar's film credits include leading roles in the short film "Howard the Coward" as well as  "Liv" which won the Doorpost Short Film award.  She also appeared in "Spread Some Love", "Paradise, TX" and "Hallow's End".

 Taylar resides in Los Angeles with her mother, Missy and brothers Brady and Brandon, who are also actors.  When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends, singing, dancing and ballet.  She is currently a Cheerleader at her high school in Los Angeles.
